  Friends of Deerfield Island Park will be maintaining a booth at the Deerfield Beach Pioneers Day celebration on February 16-18 (Fri-Sun).This is our first major outreach of the year. We hope our participation in this major event will bring new members and donations, and increase awareness of Deerfield Island Park. We will be asking members to volunteer a few hours to staff the booth.

Set-up: Friday 2/16 12:00 am - 2:00 pm
Festival: Friday 2/16 5:00 pm -10:00 pm
Saturday 2/17 10:00 am - 10:00 pm
Sunday 2/18 10:00 am - 6:00 pm

Volunteer for Project ROC! at Deerfield Island Park
 
HandsOn Broward, in collaboration with the Youth Environmental Alliance, has received a grant to implement Project Roc!, a coastal land reclamation and education project.
 
Volunteers will help reclaim the island coastline by creating a salt marsh and restoring the mangroves.
 
Date: Saturday, Feb 24 9:00 am - 1:00 pm Registration and signup is required.
